Leading Yourself First (Teens)

Grades 6-12 John Maxwell defines leadership as influence. Dr. Renee' agrees that each of us has a sphere of influence and therefore, in that sphere each of us are leaders. As such, leaders are called - or thrust - into roles with great responsibilities when others are watching them for guidance.


One cannot lead others, until you learn how to lead yourself. Dr. Renee' will teach you how to lead yourself and to be a person of influence amongst your teen peers.

Earning Your Community Service Hours

Grades 8-12: Earning Community Service Hours as a Servant Leader is a workshop designed to help students develop leadership skills while giving back to their community. Participants will learn how to identify service opportunities matched to their interests, talents and skills, and coordinate those experiences with their academic plan. 


The workshop will cover topics such as servant leadership, academic plan (college study, vocational track), community needs assessment effective communication and teamwork. Participants will learn how to document their service hours and create a portfolio of their service work.

Plotting Your High School Schedule & College Prep

Set your scholars (Grades 8-12) up for success in preparing for college. In Section 1 of the presentation - Dr. Renee' discusses the High School Years (responsibilities including attendance and tracking one's transcript for accuracy and Rites of Passage (elective courses standardized testing, dual enrollment - is it for everyone?). 


 She gives a roadmap of when to do "all the things" for each year of high school so you can enjoy your HS years!

K-12 Homeschool Testing (or) Portfolio Review

Dr. Renee' is available to perform homeschool portfolio reviews or perform necessary testing for homeschool students at a rate of $40/hour. She holds a Florida teaching certificate in the areas of Elementary Education (Grades 1-6), Special Education (K-12), and School Administration (K-12)

Notetaking 101

Grades 6-12 -- This workshop is designed to help students improve their note-taking skills. Scholars will learn different techniques for taking effective and efficient notes, how to identify important information, and organize their notes. Additionally, they will learn how to create study materials from their notes and to study nightly from their notes - rather than to cram the night before an exam.


In the workshop we cover topics such as active listening, identifying key ideas/concepts, creating outlines and mind maps, using abbreviations and symbols, and developing effective study habits.
